I want to add a few more tips….frozen veggies (Great Value frozen cauliflower/broccoli .68 cents a bag) also buy a whole head of romaine lettuce for $1.57 and cut it up/wash it myself. I buy a 3 pack of tomatoes at Walmart for $1. The fruit stand has bananas for .39 cents/lbs. I like the canned black beans/kidney beans/chickpeas. Also cut coupons! I love yogurt and there is always a coupon in the Sunday paper….and that’s what I buy (brand) that week. Hope these extra tips help everyone trying to eat healthy on a budget!

Victor,
Thank you the kind words. This is the first time i have been here and it looks promising. Keep up the good work.

Great article. I’ve found that eating healthy (paleo) has been quite expensive for me, especially indulging in trips to Whole “Paycheck” for veggies/fruit instead of local fruitstands just for convenience. Love your blog, by the way!
